About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Location

Winchester, MA | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-hour Night Shifts | Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care-level nursing to patients in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting with patient ratios of 1:3–5
• Titrate vasopressors (pressor titration ability is required)
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed; floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shift
• Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in day-one competency testing upon orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact equivalent
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Demonstrated ability to titrate pressors
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Candidates who have not previously traveled must have Level 1 trauma experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification
• Level 1 trauma experience (preferred for all candidates; required for first-time travelers)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or stepdown setting
