Job Title: Mail Clerk
Location: Springfield, IL
Pay Range: $16/HR-$17/HR
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k)

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Mail Clerk with our client located in Springfield, IL . This is a well-established organization within the insurance industry. They are currently looking for a Mail Clerk to join their growing Claims Department on a 6+ month contract basis with potential for contract-to-hire . The Mail Clerk will primarily be responsible for sorting, scanning, indexing, and filing incoming claims mail, as well as preparing outgoing mail. This is a 100% onsite position , Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. The client is looking to hire as soon as possible, so qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!

Mail Clerk Responsibilities:

• Open and scan daily claims mail by program and state.
• Index mail, emails, and faxes.
• Prepare and meter outgoing mail, including sort, bulk, and special handling.
• Provide coverage for deliveries.
• Pick up and drop off mail within the Claims Department.
• Manage documents and recorded media and transfer media to the document management system.
• Prepare bulk mailings and notices to policyholders and agents.
• Manage mailing of manual letters for the adjusting team, which may include proof of service.
• Provide backup coverage for the Customer Care call queue.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Mail Clerk Qualifications:

• 1+ years of general business or office experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable and able to work with limited supervision.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to take direction and make decisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
