Company: Veterans Covert Protection Group (VCPG) Location: Atherton, CA Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $30.00 per hour Work Schedule VCPG is hiring for the following shifts: Weekend Day Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Weekend Swing Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Overnight Shift: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Please indicate your preferred shift when submitting your application. Position Overview As an Unarmed Corporate Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and professional corporate environment. This position requires exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents while representing VCPG with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to ensure a safe and secure environment. Monitor access control points and verify the identity of employees, contractors, and visitors. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and medical situations. Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence. Enforce company policies, procedures, and site-specific rules and regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, employees, emergency responders, and VCPG management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of security experience preferred. Corporate security experience strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations. Proficient with smartphones, incident reporting software, and email. Requirements Valid California BSIS Guard Card. Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including California Live Scan. Reliable transportation. Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift. Ability to regularly climb stairs. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and schedule changes as operational needs require. Professional Standards Maintain an impeccable uniform and professional appearance in accordance with VCPG standards. Produce accurate, detailed, and timely reports with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment at all times.
